Ulm/Germany, 13 February 2019 – HENSOLDT from Immenstaad supports the charity initiative "Drachenkinder" of the radio station Radio 7 with an amount of 1.000 Euro. HENSOLDT site human resources manager Nicole Poppe, site manager Frank Döngi and works council chairman Thomas Hoepfner handed over a symbolic cheque to Radio 7 editor Jürgen Balzer.
The amount is made up of donations from HENSOLDT employees collected at the HENSOLDT Christmas party and proceeds from internal sales to the workforce.
"We have been based in Immenstaad for more than 60 years and feel closely connected to the region," said Nicole Poppe. "That's why we wanted to give something back in this way. And works council chairman Thomas Hoepfner added: "In Dornier's tradition, we want to continue doing good for the region, and that's why employees are happy to donate to charitable causes.”
The Radio 7 Dragon Children have been supporting projects for sick, handicapped or traumatised children in the region since 2005.
