Description

ATC Transponder - ACAS Compatible

System Description

The STR 2000 ATC transponder provides full capability of Mode S, level 1, 2, 3, as defined in ICAO, Annex 10, 1st Edition, Amendment 77/79, Nov. 2004 including SI-code processing and extended squitter transmission.

Interface flexibility for Mode S and ACAS operation: The transponder provides 3 bi-directional ARINC 429 ports and one ARINC 429 input port.

Thus, the STR 2000 provides the Flight Management System (FMS) of the platform with all interfaces neccessary for the Mode S data links Comm-A, Comm-B and Comm-C (extended length messages) and for the generation of the extended squitter transmissions.
