HENSOLDT masters the full electromagnetic spectrum to provide innovative products that counter evolving threats faced by North American warfighters, security forces, and first responders in the air, at sea, and on land.
A fully owned subsidiary of HENSOLDT Holding, with its headquarters in Germany, HENSOLDT Inc. operates in the U.S. under a Special Security Agreement (SSA) between the U.S. government, HENSOLDT Inc. and its parent company. Through this agreement, the Board of Directors of HENSOLDT Inc. oversees compliance with U.S. Government Security and Export Regulations, allowing the company to perform classified and sensitive U.S. government contracts. In addition, business development for the Canadian market is led from HENSOLDT Inc.
HENSOLDT products are fielded in the region. The Freedom-class LCS (Littoral Combat Ship) operates HENSOLDT’s TRS-4D AESA (active electronically scanned array) radar, while the National Security Cutter and older versions of the Freedom-class LCS operate HENSOLDT’S TRS-3D radar. Additional examples include HENSOLDT avionics used by U.S. Army and National Guard on various helicopter platforms, and U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps M1 Abrams tanks equipped with HENSOLDT Eyesafe Laser Rangefinders.
TwInvis enables a variety of new missions by offering several decisive advantages over active radar: unfettered use in areas of spectrum congestion, covert operation, and wider detection capabilities to see aircraft formerly flying “under the radar”.
