HENSOLDT achieves order intake of over EUR 1.4 billion between October 2024 and January

A significant contribution to the growth in the order backlog is the contract extension of the ECRS Mk1 project (Eurofighter Common Radar System Mark 1) with a volume of approximately 350 million euros. The order extension ensures the development of an approvable, robust Eurofighter Mk1 radar for Germany and Spain.

An order for optronic and optical systems for a total of 123 Leopard 2 A8 main battle tanks is worth more than 68 million euros. This will provide the German and Norwegian armed forces with state-of-the-art optronic solutions enabling them to operate successfully on the dynamic battlefield of tomorrow. The modernisation of the Fennek armoured reconnaissance vehicle's sensor system will contribute just under 56 million euros. The order comprises 92 sets of BAA III observation and reconnaissance equipment, setting a new standard in military reconnaissance.

Together with Airbus, HENSOLDT will also comprehensively modernise the Bundeswehr's Electronic Warfare Centre (ZEK). Over the next four years, the IT-SEKUS ZEK programme will provide the German Air Force with state-of-the-art software and hardware solutions that will ensure the operational readiness of flying weapon systems in the long term and represent an important step towards Software Defined Defence (SDD). The project has an order volume of 38 million euros.

"As is usual in the defence industry, we received a large number of orders at the turn of the year. Now it's a matter of delivering – and we are responding to this by expanding capacity and increasing efficiency. We are right on track," says Christian Ladurner, CFO of HENSOLDT. "The high order intake also underlines the crucial importance of sensor solutions and electronic systems for effective defence. We continue to see strong growth potential here," Ladurner continues.
