Sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT will present its latest technological advancements at IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi from 17 to 21 February 2025. One of HENSOLDT's core competencies is the active and passive detection of threats and the protection of platforms and their users. In this context, software-defined defence plays a crucial role.
The TRML-4D air defence radar will be on exhibit at IDEX. It is based on the latest AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radar technology and ensures the rapid detection and tracking of around 1,500 targets within a radius of up to 250 kilometres. It is capable of quickly and reliably detecting and tracking all types of air targets - cruise missiles, rockets, drones and aircraft - and classifying them for engagement.
In addition, the Persistent German Airborne Surveillance System (PEGASUS) will be on display. HENSOLDT was awarded the contract to supply an airborne system for electronic signals intelligence on board of three Bombardier jets based on its "Kalætron Integral" system, which collects and analyses signals from radar and radio systems. Led by HENSOLDT for the German armed forces, the SIGINT system will be integrated on the Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft, the optimal platform to complete these critical missions.
TARANIS ADLER is a C4 & Fire Support System (C4FS) that connects all assets on the battlefield from sensor to shooter in real time. It significantly improves coordination throughout the chain of command, enabling more effective fire support and enhanced situational awareness. The system will also be shown at IDEX.
The new-generation airborne imaging system ARGOS-15, a state-of-the-art 15-inch gimbal system, is also shown at the booth. It builds on the success of HENSOLDT’s renowned ARGOS family and offers unparalleled performance for medium-to high altitude missions on both manned and unmanned airborne platforms. Featuring an advanced, modular design and AI-powered functionalities, this next-generation system is an essential solution for modern defence and security applications.
