HENSOLDT completes acquisition of Nedinsco
HENSOLDT has completed the acquisition of Nedinsco, headquartered in Venlo, the Netherlands, after receiving all required regulatory approvals.
Nedinsco is a leading European specialist in opto-mechatronic subsystems for armoured vehicles, designing and manufacturing periscopes, driver-vision systems, and sensor units for some of the most important land platforms in service across Europe.
The acquisition strengthens HENSOLDT's Optronics division and expands the company's capability in vehicle optronics, situational awareness, and rapid prototyping for defence applications.
HENSOLDT CEO Oliver Dörre said: “Nedinsco is a company with a strong track record, a highly skilled team, and a product portfolio that complements ours in every meaningful way. With this acquisition, we are securing a critical capability, deepening our presence in European land-platform optronics, and welcoming around 140 highly motivated colleagues into the HENSOLDT Group. We look forward to working together and to the opportunities this acquisition will create.”
The financial impact of the Nedinsco acquisition on HENSOLDTs net leverage is expected to be compensated by higher cash conversion and more favorable lease liabilities at Group level.
Founded in 1921, Nedinsco has established itself as a trusted partner to major European land-platform OEMs, including Rheinmetall, KNDS, and BAE Systems. Its products are installed on platforms such as Boxer, Lynx, CV90, Puma, Leopard 2A8, Fennek, and Luchs 2.
Nedinsco will continue to operate from its Venlo site and will be integrated into HENSOLDT's Optronics division. The company's lean structure and local identity will be maintained, and its brand will carry the addition “a HENSOLDT Company”.
Nedinsco employs approximately 140 people.
