HENSOLDT donates 15,000 euros to support soldiers, veterans and humanitarian aid
Three donations of 5,000 euros each are going to the Soldiers’ and Veterans’ Foundation, a veterans’ association and Athletes for Ukraine e.V.
HENSOLDT is supporting three organisations with a total of 15,000 euros. With these donations, HENSOLDT is strengthening its commitment to serving personnel, veterans and people affected by the war in Ukraine.
“As a company with close ties to the Bundeswehr and its personnel, it is important to us to take on responsibility beyond our core business. Through our donations, we aim to support organisations that are actively helping people and providing assistance where it is needed,” says CEO Oliver Dörre.
Support for service personnel and veterans
The Soldiers’ and Veterans’ Foundation supports active and former members of the Bundeswehr who find themselves in difficult personal or social circumstances. Among other things, the foundation provides unbureaucratic assistance in individual emergencies and is committed to the recognition and support of veterans.
The Veterans’ Association also champions the interests of former servicemen and women and their families. Its key areas of focus include counselling, guidance, psychosocial support and comradeship.
HENSOLDT is supporting the work of both organisations with a donation of 5,000 euros each, thereby helping to further strengthen the support services they offer.
Humanitarian aid for Ukraine
A further 5,000 euros is being donated to Athletes for Ukraine e.V. The association combines humanitarian commitment with the unifying power of sport. It supports people affected by the consequences of the war in Ukraine and is involved, amongst other things, in aid projects for children and families, as well as for Ukrainian athletes.
“Solidarity and mutual support are particularly important, especially in difficult times. The three organisations make a valuable contribution in very different ways – both in Germany and beyond our national borders,” Dörre pointed out.
With the donations, HENSOLDT is underlining its social commitment and its solidarity with people who are dedicated to security, community and humanitarian aid.
Beyond these donations, HENSOLDT is also a supporting member of Lachen Helfen e.V., a humanitarian initiative launched by members of the Bundeswehr. The association supports aid projects for children in crisis and conflict regions, bringing hope and improving living conditions through local humanitarian assistance.
HENSOLDT’s membership reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and its support for initiatives that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
