HENSOLDT donates 5,000 euros to the Radio 7 Drachenkinder
The sensor specialist HENSOLDT is donating 5,000 euros to Radio 7 Drachenkinder, that supports sick and disadvantaged children in the Alb-Donau region for more than 20 years.
Christian Knop, Site Personnel Manager in Ulm, who attended the in-person handover of the donation, says: “It’s lovely to see that our summer party not only offers an opportunity to celebrate with colleagues and have a good time, but also ensures that we remain mindful of those who are less fortunate. I am all the more delighted that through our collective commitment, we have been able to make a contribution and support this important project.”
The Radio 7 Drachenkinder support sick, disabled and traumatised children and young people, as well as their families, particularly in cases where support from health insurance funds or other organisations is insufficient. Funding is provided for specific projects and initiatives that make everyday life easier for the children concerned and their families and enable them to participate more fully in society.
These include, for example, adapting a family car to make it accessible for disabled people or funding a stairlift, so that the children can take part in everyday family life as naturally as possible. In addition, the campaign also supports schools, nurseries and other organisations that work on behalf of children and young people in need.
“A heartfelt thank you to HENSOLDT and everyone who made this support possible. It benefits children who, with their individual challenges in everyday life, are often overlooked. Donations like this not only raise their profile, but above all provide them with very practical help. Transparency is particularly important to us: the donations are used directly in the region and go where they are really needed,” emphasises Ursula Schuhmacher, Head of the Radio 7 Drachenkinder.
