HENSOLDT finances aid transport for ‘Athletes for Ukraine’ with €5,000

Twenty primary schools in Munich took part in the campaign. Together with parents, teachers and various associations from Munich and throughout Bavaria, over 2,200 schoolchildren packed lovingly designed Christmas parcels for children in Ukraine. The gifts symbolise compassion, hope and solidarity in what continues to be a very difficult time for many families.

The parcels will be distributed to several specific locations:

• 7 to 8 schools in Kyiv,
• 60 parcels for a sports school in Chernihiv,
• a pallet with around 100 parcels to Kharkiv, where the gifts will be distributed to children in the palliative care ward of the Kharkiv hospital.

Who is ‘Athletes for Ukraine’?

‘Athletes for Ukraine’ is a non-profit initiative founded by athletes and dedicated supporters. The organisation's goal is to help people in Ukraine through humanitarian aid, fundraising campaigns and concrete support projects. A special focus is placed on children, young people and sports-related institutions that have been particularly affected by the war.
