Immenstaad, 01 February 2022 – The sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT supports the outpatient children's and youth hospice service AMALIE at Lake Constance. HENSOLDT site personnel manager Nicole Poppe and works council chairman of the HENSOLDT Immenstaad site Thomas Hoepfner, handed over a symbolic cheque for a donation of 1,700 euros to the representative of the hospice service Barbara Weiland.
The amount is largely made up of donations from HENSOLDT employees. Through a contribution of 500€ from the personnel department, a total amount of 1,700€ could be achieved. Usually, donations for charitable purposes were collected at the annual Christmas party. In order not to have to break the tradition because of the cancelled Christmas party, the works council launched a call for donations at the site, as it had done the previous year. "Every year we are thrilled how many colleagues take part in our appeal for donations. With 1,200€, we have once again exceeded last year's donation total. For this, we would like to express our sincere thanks to all donors, " says Thomas Hoepfner.
AMALIE is there for families where illness, dying, death and mourning are a part of life. Volunteer hospice mentors accompany children, young people and their families at home, in their familiar surroundings.
"We have been based in Immenstaad for over 65 years and feel closely connected to the region," said site personnel manager Nicole Poppe when handing over the donation cheque. "HENSOLDT likes to get involved in supporting regional charitable associations and especially sick and needy children and their families - companies as well as our employees."
