Pioneering digital sovereignty: HENSOLDT chooses SAP Cloud Infrastructure

Organisations with sensitive data – such as those in the defence sector – have faced a dilemma up to now: While cloud technologies offer great potential for innovation, many common solutions do not meet the requirements for data sovereignty and regulatory control. This is exactly where SAP Cloud Infrastructure comes in: it is hosted in highly secure SAP data centres in Germany, offers full control and transparency over data flows, and meets the strictest requirements for data protection, IT security, and governance. The decision to adopt the new platform is the result of several months of intensive collaboration between HENSOLDT and SAP. Technical, legal and strategic requirements were examined in a proof of concept, and the platform was comprehensively validated. Operations will initially start with non-classified data – a controlled entry with a clear perspective for gradual expansion.

With the introduction of a cloud infrastructure, HENSOLDT is taking an important step in its overall digital strategy.
