The crew of any combat platform is potentially placed in position of making split second engagement decisions. Combat identification solutions must be robust, resilient and adhere to international interoperability standards. The range of the IFF interrogator must give sufficient warning time and the data must be valid.
Our solution
The Compact Naval IFF System (CNIS) from HENSOLDT is a fully certified and combat proven NATO Mode 5 IFF solution of small equipment footprint and low procurement cost.
It is particularly suitable for small naval platforms, where space for essential mission equipment is at a premium. Centred on the 1500W MSSR 2000 ID interrogator and LTR 400-DNG2 transponder, the CNIS offers straight forward platform integration via naval standard interfaces.
