Threats from small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) during foreign and domestic military missions range from enemy reconnaissance attempts to attacks on military camps by drones equipped with explosives.
Detecting and reacting to these threats – in particular under extreme environmental conditions – poses serious challenges for the forces on the ground.
A robust and transportable counter-UAS system is therefore required that combines sensor and effector technologies to enable reliable and seamless drone detection and the selection and use of appropriate countermeasures.
Our solution
HENSOLDT’s Elysion® C-UxS Shelterised Asset Protection is a container-based system for protection against sUAS weighing under 25kg.
Designed for use in challenging environmental conditions during military operations abroad, the system can also be used for flexible protection of high-value targets in domestic territory.
The multi-system solution is specifically tailored to individual customer requirements. It consists of selected sensors and effectors, operator workstation(s) with C2 software and ancillary equipment - all integrated into one or more robust, transportable containers.
The modular multi-sensor and multi-effector approach enables the detection, classification and mitigation of a wide range of small drones.
Thanks to the high level of automation provided by the command and control (C2) software, Elysion Mission Core, only one operator is required to carry out the entire drone defence process.
This specialised software fuses data from individual sensors and processes it through a core intelligence with comprehensive automation and support functions. This data is then displayed in the operational picture and effectors are activated – all via just one intuitive user interface.
