IR/XP IFF Crypto Simulator
IFF tester for integration and loop testing
The challenge
Testing IFF Mode 5 capable interrogators or transponders can be a challenging task due to the need for test key variables and a real crypto computer device.
These requirements can be difficult to procure and handle due to security restrictions, and the process can be time-consuming and expensive.
Additionally, verifying the cryptographical and electrical behaviour of the host equipment can be a challenge. This can lead to delays in integration, testing, and verification of the host environment.
Our solution
The IR/XP crypto simulator is used to test an IFF Mode 5 capable interrogator or transponder.
The crypto simulator does not require test key variables for Mode 5 testing and verifies the cryptographical and electrical behaviour of an IFF Mode 5 capable host equipment.
The IR/XP eases the integration, testing and verification of the host environment by overcoming the security restrictions, handling and lengthy procurement procedures of a real crypto computer device.
The IR/XP is employed worldwide and can offer different Mode 5 crypto interfaces on request, which makes it very user friendly.
