MRA70

Wideband mobile DF antenna
Land EW Scenario

The challenge

MRA70

Our solution

The GEW MRA70 is a compact, complex correlative DF antenna. It is intended for mobile direction-finding and wideband monitoring on a variety of mobile platforms, such as small tactical vehicles, armoured vehicles and light airborne applications.

The antenna is designed for seamless integration with the GEW MRD72 multirole direction finder for a complete, yet compact and versatile surveillance solution.
The antenna uses a combination of crossed-loop and Adcock array principles for the various bands, providing maximum possible sensitivity for its compact form factor. A dedicated omni output provides a monitoring capability for signal interception and demodulation.

A cavity inside the antenna houses an integrated band switch and allows control and calibration circuitry to be integrated into the antenna, reducing cable loss and weight.
