MRD600

Our solution

The MRD600 is the latest generation of GEW’s high performance, HF Direction Finding systems. Large aperture antenna arrays, high dynamic range receivers and high performance digital signal- and data processing architectures guarantee excellent DF performance in multi-user HF surveillance systems.

The compact size and rugged design makes the MRD600 equally suitable for fixed as well as mobile direction finding solutions in COMINT and spectrum monitoring applications for military and security environments. In fixed installations, the high performance of the MRD600 may be balanced by the use of scalable large-aperture direction finding antenna arrays of up to 125 m.

For more compact solutions the MRD600 may be used together with various Watson-Watt antenna configurations.
The MRD600 can be used for stand-alone, single-operator applications for spectrum surveillance, or used as part of
a signals intelligence system, where the MRD600’s wide bandwidth and fast scanning performance can serve multiple search tasks and fixed task operators, or feed automated COMINT equipment.

For interferometric operation the MRD600 is deployed with a 7- or 9 element L-array antenna over an area of up to 125 m x 125 m, that yields superior accuracy, improved ambiguity-resolution and also elevation angles for static or semi-mobile applications.
