Your training as an IT specialist for application development

(m/f/d)

In this profession, you will implement subject-specific requirements in the development and optimization of software solutions. You will create concepts, develop modules, test programs and document the results. Your focus will be on the development of software for safety-relevant systems. You will spend one or two days a week at the vocational college in Fürstenfeldbruck, Wilhelmshaven or Koblenz learning the theoretical basics, which you will be able to apply directly in practice at our HENSOLDT sites in Fürstenfeldbruck, Koblenz or Wilhelmshaven.

You will always have an experienced trainer or supervisor at your side. During the apprenticeship, you will be specifically prepared for the final examination. After successfully completing your training, you can look forward to a wide range of prospects in an exciting and innovative working environment at HENSOLDT.

What you can expect:

  • Theory: 1-2 days a week at the vocational school in Fürstenfeldbruck, Wilhelmshaven or Koblenz
  • Apprenticeship: HENSOLDT location in Fürstenfeldbruck, Koblenz or Wilhelmshaven
  • Creation of concepts, development of modules, testing of programs and documentation of the results
  • Focus: Development of software for safety-relevant systems
  • Duration: 3 years

What you bring to the table:

  • At least a good secondary school leaving certificate
  • Interest in computer technology & data processing
  • Analytical thinking and a very good technical understanding

Part of HENSOLDT since April 2024, the approximately 900 employees in Fürstenfeldbruck are driving secure digitalization and networking in all dimensions with their solutions and services.

The almost 80 highly qualified employees in Wilhelmshaven play a central role in supporting naval operations and offer end-to-end solutions in the areas of systems engineering, systems development, project management and maritime software and data services.

With its 100 employees, the Koblenz site acts as a liaison office for the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw). The focus of the cooperation with the BAAINBw is on equipping the Bundeswehr with modern and secure military technology, including the areas of development, testing, procurement and utilization management.

In this profession, you will implement specialist requirements in complex hardware and software systems. You will analyze, plan and implement systems in an extensive, complex and heterogeneous IT infrastructure. You will be available to customers and users for technical advice, support and training. You can put the theoretical knowledge you learn at vocational school into practice in our teams. You will always have a trainer or supervisor at your side. The theoretical knowledge is taught at the Robert Bosch School in Ulm, for example. At the Koblenz, Fürstenfeldbruck or Wilhelmshaven locations, you will be taught the theoretical knowledge by the respective local vocational schools.
