This optronic mast sets itself apart through an enhanced stealth technology as well as its compact design. It provides excellent information with the combinationof an HDTV day camera, a shortwave infrared camera (SWIR) and an eyesafe laser range finder in lense objective on a single Line of Sight (LOS). This compact solution allows an integration into all types of submarines, for new build and retrofit solutions. The OMS 200, in its role of being a “replacement” to the classical direct view periscopes, was specifically designed to retain the stealth characteristics in the visual, infrared and radar domains.
The high image quality and resolution of the integrated short wave infrared (SWIR) camera can be complemented with a second infrared system with mid-wave capability, enabling improved night vision capability. The integrated universal antenna interface offers a combination of sensor technology with ESM-EW / GPS antennas amongst others.
