Simsphere Radar Simulation Suite

HENSOLDT’s Simsphere Radar Simulation Suite (RSS) is a comprehensive simulation product family for Radar Systems (e.g. TRS-4D, TRML-4D, SPEXER) and Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Systems (e.g. MSSR 2000I, MSR 1000, LTR 400) of HENSOLDT.

The products of Simsphere Radar Simulation Suite sophistically simulate the highly complex and highly dynamic sensor systems with their operational interfaces and protocols and their functional and dynamic behaviour. Main use cases are to support conception and design, test and integration, verification and validation, maintenance and advancement as well as training and keep in practice of the superordinate system.

In order to adequately support these miscellaneous fields of application, a highly modular simulation product family based on integrated software models and components was designed and developed. The core functionality of these products can be adapted as well as extended to specific needs of the customer and/or the application.

Simsphere Air Defence

Simsphere Air Defence simulators are in use at military organisations since decades (late 70s). Air Defence Gunners and Observers train the handling of weapons in simulated scenarios even in conjunction with other forces.

Simsphere Train

Simsphere Train is a train driver training product family and is based on decades of experience in the field of train driver training and provides sophisticated integrated train driver training. It enables:

  • Studying and teaching fundamentals of driving techniques and practice under normal and special conditions
  • Practice of correct handling of on-board systems (e.g. handling of brakes) in various situations
  • Training of forward -looking driver skills and route familiarization
  • Training of driving in adverse conditions (e.g. different weather, track and visual conditions)
  • Training of advanced operational skills, e.g. malfunction handling and operational procedures, even in hazardous situations
