Description

The new threat from small, cheap and easily procurable unmanned aerial (UAV) and surface (USV) vehicles is of rising concern to all military and civilian security forces. Specific solutions that counter this increasingly serious threat are in great demand.

HENSOLDT´s Spexer 2000 3D MkIII has been designed to provide detection data and target classification at an early stage for efficient countering of asymmetric threats. The radar has been optimised for detecting very small targets at (very) short ranges. It is an ideal add-on and retrofit solution for existing systems, but can also be used as a standalone multi-mission radar.

The Spexer 2000 3D MkIII is a flexible solution that allows threats to be detected at an early stage. In addition to securing its carrier platform, it can also be deployed to protect other vessels that need escorting (so as to secure an entire commercial route), borders, critical infrastructure (e.g. harbours) and even events that require protection from the waterside.

Due to its characteristics, it is also the ideal equipment for search and rescue operations and for monitoring environmental security
