HENSOLDT in France

Establishing a major footprint in France

We established our first footprint in France with our site in Plaisir, the headquarters of HENSOLDT France SAS. The activities of HENSOLDT France SAS were divested from the Airbus Group in 2018 following the sale of various electronics activities, which formed the basis of HENSOLDT.

HENSOLDT France SAS has a workforce of about 80 people, including subcontractors and support services. Eighty per cent of the employees are seasoned engineers.

In 2019, we started the acquisition process NEXEYA, a provider of services and electronics solutions for defence and commercial customers. After obtaining all necessary approvals, the deal was closed in the third quarter of 2019.

About HENSOLDT France SAS

As the acquisition by KKR of the former Airbus DS Electronics and Border Security activities in France followed a different regulatory and site separation process than our German-based activities, the closing for HENSOLDT France took place in April 2018. Following the separation from Airbus, we moved our activities from the Airbus site in Élancourt to a new site in Plaisir.

Our activities in Plaisir have a long-standing competence in Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF), data link and Cryptographics. The main products are the MSR Identification Systems Interrogator, the BTI, an identification systems on-board aircraft tester, LYGARION data link and crypto computers of the QRTK family. The products are designed, developed, integrated and tested on site.

HENSOLDT France SAS has a workforce of about 80 people.
